Your driver guide will pick you up from the hotel after breakfast to begin your nine-day gorilla trekking safari.
The trip will begin with a city tour of Kigali, where you will see the Genocide Memorial and Kimironko Market before continuing on to Volcanoes National Park, where you will arrive in the evening.

You will leave for your cultural experience after breakfast in the morning.

Day 3: Volcanoes National Park gorilla trekking.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the lodge in the early morning before embarking on an exciting morning drive through Rwanda’s Switzerland, which is too evident in the park’s native forest for gorilla trekking and reveals the true grandeur of the environment.

After receiving an orientation at the park headquarters, you will set out with the ranger guides to start gorilla trekking.

After spending an hour with them and taking pictures, you will head back to the starting point, get into your car, and make the overnight drive to the resort.

Day 4: My second experience trekking with gorillas

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the lodge in the morning before your first thrilling drive through the Switzerland of Rwanda Park.

This drive takes you through the native forest and prepares you for your second gorilla trekking experience, which takes you to the true side of the country’s natural beauty.

You will see a different gorilla family than the one you saw the day before. After receiving an orientation at the park headquarters, you will leave with the ranger guides to embark on your gorilla trekking experience.

After spending an hour photographing them when you locate them, you will head back to the starting point, get into your car, and travel the remaining distance to the lodge for the night.

Day 6: Visit to the Dian Fossey Tomb

When you arrive at the site, you will have the opportunity to visit Dian Fossey’s grave, which is next to the grave of her beloved gorilla friend.

Digit, along with the remains of 20 other gorillas who were killed by poachers. You will also see the ruins of her house.
The hike to Dian Fossey’s grave takes about 3–4 hours, but it is doable by anyone with basic fitness.

The ranger guide will provide you with information about Dian Fossey regarding the role she played towards the conservation and saving these endangered mountain gorillas.
