First day: Travel to Bwindi from Kampala.

Your tour guide will pick you from your hotel in Kampala, very early in the morning to begin your trip to the Bwindi impenetrable Forest national park, home to half of the world’s endangered mountain Gorillas.
The drive from Kampala to Bwindi lasts for 8 hours, and you will therefore have several stopovers during the journey including a stopover at the equator where you will have an opportunity to take pictures and grab a few refreshments as well as African crafts, which you can obtain from the local craft shops before hitting the road again.
The next stop will be in Mbarara town where you will have a lunch break.
The guide will take you to one of the tourist restaurants in the town, with options of you trying local or continental dishes for lunch.
After lunch, embark on your journey once more, proceeding directly to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park and direct to your lodge where you will check in for dinner and overnight stay.

Get your packed lunch and head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking after a hearty breakfast?

Following the briefing, you will be split up into eight-person groups and sent into the Bwindi forest to look for mountain gorillas.
To locate the mountain gorillas, a hike of one to eight hours is typical.

The exercise is undoubtedly demanding, but it is also really rewarding when you see the enormous gorillas. You may take pictures and witness their diverse personalities as they eat, play, and interact.

After spending a full hour with these animals, you are allowed to return to the park headquarters.

You will travel to Lake Bunyonyi in the afternoon, which is a stunning lake with numerous islets.

Final destination. Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 3: Boat cruise and departure from Bunyonyi

After an early morning breakfast, embark for a boat trip on Lake Bunyonyi in which you will visit numerous islands as you learn about the lake and the history of the people living in the area.

After checking out, head back to the hotel, pack, and leave for Kampala, stopping along the way at the Igongo Cultural Center for lunch and a quick tour to learn more about Ankole culture.

Then, if you have to take a flight back, drive to Kampala. You can go to the hotel or the airport.
